Explore hand-on activities designed to help students understand geometric concepts. During this two-day workshop, participants will discuss strategies for engaging students in order to meet the expectations of the Mississippi College- and Career-Readiness Standards for both content and the mathematical practices. Participants will walk away with a better understanding of the development of geometric concepts from the middle grades through a formal high school geometry course.

GRADES: 6-12

DATE: June 27-28, 2017

TIME: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.,  includes 1 hour for lunch

LOCATION: Jackson Avenue Center, University of Mississippi, Oxford

COST: $250 (includes 1.2 CEUs)
